BIE Summative Assessment Writing Rescue: Data-informed Strategic Planning to Support Student Success (Part II)

In December, the Principal Leadership Academy analyzed the BIE Summative Assessment Writing performance in 2024. It discussed the notable prevalence of "non-scorable" (zero score) writing submissions, common errors leading to these scores, and their damaging impact on student morale and overall site performance numbers.

The January Principal Leadership Academy sessions will cover the "Writing Rescue Plan," a collection of ready-to-implement classroom activities and resources designed to remedy the most common pitfalls leading to "zero/non-scorable" student work. Leaders will explore the Writing Rescue plan, access resources, and receive tips on supporting teachers in implementing the pre-test mini-lessons and activities. These resources can potentially positively impact overall test scores this spring.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Another session with the same information will be offered Monday, January 27.
