The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Education, Department of Education, and Department of Agriculture invite you to attend the 2023 Native Languages Summit (NLS) on October 17th.
The NLS is committed to supporting the integration of Native language instruction into all aspects of education and beyond while strengthening community support for Native languages.
This year’s theme, Language Sovereignty: Native Language and Self-Determination focuses on the pillars of the 10 Year National Plan on Native Language Revitalization (PDF), and highlights the critical language work being done by our community and partners. The Summit will support the work underway to maintain and revitalize Native languages.
We are thankful to come together again and share the challenges and paths to success in teaching Native languages within our communities.
