The Division of Performance and Accountability is hosting an IDEA Special Education training for teachers, special education coordinators, school administrators, and para-educators. The Interactive Special Education Data Academy is a hands-on, virtual training designed to help schools use data more confidently, understand what’s behind performance challenges, and put practical improvement strategies into action.

The 2026 academy theme is Stronger Together for Student Success: Collaboration Beyond Compliance.

Participants will learn how current requirements shape special education services and how to make the most of BIE guidance and support. Schools that take part can expect stronger expectations for timely services, more effective problem‑solving, better use of available resources, and greater collaboration through shared ideas and connections with peers.
